In the spirit of continuing to be a great corporate citizen, Herbalife Nutrition is amping up their strong support of their communities with their latest announcement. They announced that they are donating a large number of their Herbalife Protein Deluxe Bars to American Red Cross centers around the United States. There are at least 120 centers which will benefit from this generous donation.
This isn’t the first time that Herbalife has partnered with the American Red Cross. The estimated half million dollar donation is only the latest in continued support of the organizations humanitarian causes. In fact, this is the fourth consecutive year that Herbalife Nutrition has donated to them. The Herbalife Nutritional Protein Deluxe Bar is an excellent replacement snack for the nutrients that are normally lost during the blood donation process including protein and carbohydrates. In addition, their bars contain vitamins like riboflavin and B6; Both of these are important in rebuilding red blood cell that are depleted during the donation.
Not satisfied with only donating health bars, Herbalife Nutrition goes a step further in supporting and hosting their own blood drives. These drives have been conducted at a number of their facilities from headquarters in Los Angeles to North Carolina. Even more impressive is the Herbalife mobile blood van which traverses all around Southern California collecting blood for the American Red Cross.
The partnership with the American Red Cross permeates throughout the organization. Employees are given the total support of the corporation to give blood either at one of their sponsored blood drives, a local American Red Cross or through their mobile blood van. At one event alone, Herbalife Nutrition sponsored an extravaganza in St Louis and was able to get 25,000 donors.
Employees understand the gift of life that they can offer every time they donate. Employees Like Joel Morgan make a commitment to donate as often is allowed so he can impact others lives. Knowing that on any given day over 43,000 people will need blood he, and other employees, try to do their part. Additionally, given the drop off in blood donors across the United States, their contributions are needed more now than ever.
Between this and Herbalife’s other humanitarian efforts with the Red Cross such as donating supplies to victims of hurricanes, they continue to build their brand as an excellent, dedicated corporate citizen, bettering lives everywhere. Learn more about Herbalife on wikipedia.org
